Abstract

ABSTRAT
This article focus, through literature review, the programs of Enterprise Information Management
showing how information is managed by these programs giving support to the decision-making
process. The first part describes the process of decision making in organizations and the role of information in this process. The second part, contextualizes the concept of Enterprise Information
Management, based mainly in foreign literature, discussing the role of this concept in information
management to support organizational decisions. The third part presents the maturity levels of information
management, writing about information management in organizational decision making
and presenting definitions of Enterprise Information Management. All these points of the study are
intended to demonstrate the importance of the management of enterprise information for the decision-
making process in the organizational context, in order to achieve greater competitiveness
and achieve company goals
